Foreign Trade Undersecretary Kayalar To Leave For Syria

ANKARA - Foreign Trade Undersecretary Tuncer Kayalar will leave for Syria on Sunday to attend the inauguration of the Second Machinery Fair in Damascus.
Releasing a statement, the Foreign Trade Undersecretariat said that Kayalar would inaugurate the fair to be held in Damascus between January 6 and 10, 2004.
A total of 149 Turkish firms will take part in the fair at the Damascus International Fair Hall under the auspices of Prime Minister Naji Utri of Syria.
The statement noted that Turkey's exports to Syria increased 64 percent in 2003 compared to the figures of the previous year.
