Erdogan: Federal Structure Based On Ethnic Elements Will Not Give Any Result In Iraq

KARABUK - Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Friday that federal structures based on ethnic elements would not give any result in Iraq as it did not give any result in any other countries.
Erdogan told reporters that such structures would cause problems in countries testing them instead of giving outcome.
Prime Minister Erdogan said, ''we are sometimes announcing developments in Iraq. We have made statements about developments in north of Iraq. Unserious statements are being made at the moment. Federal structures based on ethnic elements have never given any result in any countries so far. Therefore, it won't yield any outcome in Iraq. On the contrary, it will cause problems.''
''I believe that such demands don't constitute an approach reflecting point of view of a state. I believe that these moves will prove to be wrong as common sense prevails,'' Erdogan added.
