SAFRANBOLU - Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that he did not receive any letter similar to the letter on Cyprus issue which was sent from U.S. President George W. Bush to Greek Prime Minister Costas Simitis.
Erdogan visited on Friday his party's office in Safranbolu township of northern Karabuk province.
When a reporter said that U.S. President Bush sent a letter on Cyprus issue to Simitis and asked whether or not a letter on this issue was also sent to Turkish side, Erdogan said, ''there is not any letter on Cyprus issue which was sent from the United States today'' and said that he received a letter on agenda of his visit from the United States two days ago. He recalled that this letter also included Cyprus issue.
