ANKARA - Foreign exchange reserves of the Central Bank increased by 25.9 percent in the year 2003 as of December 26.
According to the Central Bank's weekly bulletin, the Central Bank's foreign exchange reserves which were 26 billion 725 million U.S. dollars on December 27, 2002 increased to 33 billion 639 million U.S. dollars on December 26, 2003.
The Central Bank's foreign exchange reserves which were 32 billion 211 million U.S. dollars on December 19, increased to 33 billion 639 million U.S. dollars on December 26.
Total foreign exchange reserves of banks and private finance organizations increased 700 million U.S. dollars from 14 billion 142 million U.S. dollars to 14 billion 849 million U.S. dollars between December 5-12.
The international reserves of Turkey comprising gold reserves and foreign exchange reserves of the Central Bank, commercial banks and private finance organizations increased 1 billion 317 million U.S. dollars from 46 billion 743 million U.S. dollars to 48 billion 60 million U.S. dollars between December 5-12.
