ISTANBUL - Turkish Culture & Tourism Minister Atilla Koc said each year there has been an increase in the number of Moroccan tourists who visited Turkey.
Koc, who returned to Turkey from Morocco where he attended the first meeting of Joint Tourism Commission, said the meeting was held between Turkey and Morocco with a 15-years delay.
"Moroccan Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts & Social Economy told me that they follow Turkey in tourism as they did in economy, social life. This expression encouraged and made me feel pleased," Koc said.
Koc noted that the number of Moroccan tourists visited Turkey last year was 30,000, which is 10,000 more than year 2004.
"Not only Central Asia and the Middle East, we have to consider North Africa too, in terms of tourism," he added.
