ANKARA - State Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Mehmet Ali Sahin will go to Iran on Saturday.
Foreign Ministry officials said on Wednesday that Sahin and some ministers would pay a visit to Iran which was jolted by a devastating earthquake and convey the government's wishes for quick recovery to Iran.
Sahin will list needs of this country in the wake of the quake disaster.
Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul had earlier been scheduled to participate in this visit. Sources said that Gul would not go to Iran as Iranian Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi would not be in Tehran on Saturday.
Foreign Minister Gul planned to pay a visit to Iran in coming days, sources added.
