ANKARA - "(Turkish) state and government give high priority to Iraq issue," Government Spokesman and Justice Minister Cemil Cicek said on Monday.
After the meeting of Council of Ministers, Cicek noted that Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul informed the cabinet on foreign policy matters.
"We are in favor of territorial integrity of Iraq. We think that affluence of Iraq should be utilized by all Iraqi people. Turkey keeps working for settlement of stability, peace and tranquility in this country," he stressed.
Cicek added that Iraq issue would be discussed once again in the meeting of National Security Council (NSC) to be held on February 23rd.
