BANDA ACEH - Tunku Samvil, a teacher, reached his goal of running a school thanks to Turkish aid organizations in Indonesia but is unable to tell family members as he lost four siblings and parents in the tsunami disaster in Indonesia.
Samvil taught students in a tent prior to the tsunami disaster. After the tsunami, he was given dozens of parentless children to teach. Influenced with what they saw, Turkish aid organizations constructed a school worth USD 1 million which provides education for 400 students.
Tunku Samvil has been appointed as the principal of the school.
"My childhood dream came true and I have finally become an administrator for a school. But my family members could not see this day as they all died in the tsunami disaster," noted Samvil.
