ANKARA - Train carrying 130 containers of humanitarian aid to Iran left Ankara on Monday.
The train is carrying humanitarian aid sent by Public Works and Housing Ministry's Directorate General of Disaster Works to Iran for the survivors of the earthquake in Bam city of Iran.
Public Works and Housing Minister Zeki Ergezen said that his ministry collected 800 containers of humanitarian aid for the quake survivors in Iran.
Ergezen said that the train would reach Iran almost 50 hours later.
A thousand beds, 150 stoves, 100 sleeping sets for children were also sent to Iran by the train, Ergezen noted.
An earthquake measuring 6.3 on the Richter scale hit Bam city of Iran at 5:28 a.m. Iranian time on Friday.
