Turkish Medical Team Helps 170 Injured Persons And Recovers 14 Dead Bodies In Iran

BAM - Turkish teams which went to earthquake-devastated Bam city of Iran helped 170 injured persons and recovered 14 dead bodies from wreckage.
The 160-member Turkish team which came to the region continued its studies on Sunday and handed over the dead bodies of 14 persons to Iranian Red Crescent and relatives of those persons.
The medical team also vaccinated 500 persons and gave vaccination to Iran against tetanus.
Iranian officials thanked the Turkish team for their utmost efforts.
Turkey has provided 160 personnel, six planes and more than 40 tones of medical and other assistance stuff to Iranian government so far. Another plane carrying 6 tons of humanitarian aid will go to the region today.
In a joint hospital set up together with Germany, 12 Turkish medical personnel have been charged.
Meanwhile Prime Ministry Emergency Directorate General decided to send 800 prefabricated huts to Iran.
