LONDON - Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Foreign Minister & Deputy Prime Minister Turgay Avci, who is visiting Britain, called on Turkish Cypriots living in London to have solidarity.
Avci met representatives of non-governmental organization entitled "Embargoed" and visited offices of Turkish Cypriot newspapers in London.
Stating that the Cyprus issue was not today's issue, Avci underlined, "we aim to take a forward step towards a solution."
Avci noted that the EU should take action to lift isolations imposed on Turkish Cypriots as soon as possible.
Noting that Greek Cypriot side did not take any well-meaning step after it joined the EU, Avci stressed, "Turkish Cypriots should walk together towards a common goal. There is need for a solidarity and lobby should be sound."
