GAZIANTEP - Southeast Anatolian Development Project (GAP) provinces exported flour with an increase of nine folds in the first eleven months of this year when compared to the same period in 2002.
Southeast Exporters Union Secretariat General data showed that GAP provinces exported 160,586 tons of flour worth of 16.73 million dollars in January-December 2003 period.
GAP region exported 8,000 tons of flour worth of 1.66 million dollars in the same period last year.
Southeast Flour Industrialists Association Chairman Erhan Ozmen told A.A correspondent that the pleasing increase in wheat flour export stemmed from the positive development in exports to Iraq, Iran and Libya.
