ISTANBUL - Israeli Internal Security Minister Tzahi Hanegbi said on Thursday that terrorists tried to spoil the relations between Turkey and Israel, but they were not successful.
Hanegbi who is currently in Turkey as the official guest of Interior Minister Abdulkadir Aksu visited the same day Beth Israel and Neve Shalom synagogues which were attacked on November 15.
Responding to questions after his visit to Neve Shalom, the guest minister said that he paid a very good visit to Turkey.
Hanegbi said that he met with Interior Minister Abdulkadir Aksu and they signed a very important agreement which covered security cooperation between Turkey and Israel.
Hanegbi said that the aim of his visit to Istanbul was to convey his condolences to relatives of those who died in the attacks.
The relations between Turkey and Israel would strengthen, said Hanegbi, adding that their fight with terrorism would continue.
