ANKARA - Foreign Ministry sources said on Tuesday that there was not any agreement on solution of Aegean problems between Turkey and Greece as it was claimed.
When reminded some news stories in a Greek newspaper which claimed that Turkey and Greece removed their disagreements with regard to the Aegean, sources said that there was not such an agreement and stated, ''if an agreement had been signed between the two countries, talks would not have continued.''
Stating that there was not a timetable concerning course of talks, sources said that the two sides did not prepare any arbitration contract at that level.
Sources noted that the following tour of exploratory talks would be held in Ankara at the end of December.
Greek Elefterotipia newspaper had claimed that the two countries reached agreement on Turkey's enlarging territorial waters in north of Aegean Sea and Greece's enlarging its territorial waters in south of Aegean Sea. The news claimed that the two countries would prepare an arbitration contract in order to go to The Hague Tribunal in order to determine borders of Aegean continental shelf till the end of January.
Meanwhile, sources said that Turkish ambassadors in 15 EU countries, representatives in Washington, New York and Lefkosa would attend assessment meeting whose agenda would be EU and Cyprus.
