ANKARA - Industry and Trade Minister Ali Coskun said on Monday that he took up foreign capital and qualified industrial zones with U.S. Ambassador to Turkey Eric Edelman.
Following their meeting, Coskun told reporters that Edelman paid a courtesy visit to him and they exchanged views about lifting bureaucratic obstacles and problems before foreign capital.
Coskun said that they discussed ways to solve problems and lift bureaucratic obstacles before U.S. investors.
Economic cooperation meeting held with the United States in December also came onto agenda in their meeting, Coskun noted.
Coskun recalled that Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan would meet with U.S. President George Bush during his visit to the United States in January.
They also took up Erdogan's visit to the United States and visit that Bush would pay to Turkey in June to attend NATO Summit, Coksun stated.
Coskun added that north of Iraq did not come onto agenda in their meeting.
