BERLIN - Turkish Transportation Minister Binali Yildirim met German Transport Minister Wolfgang Tiefensee in Berlin on Friday.
Speaking to Turkish reporters after the meeting which lasted for nearly two hours, Yildirim said that Tiefensee and he discussed cooperation projects and some other issues regarding transportation.
Stating that he was interested in a system detecting and following motor vehicles on highways through satellite, Yildirim noted that Turkish authorities were informed on this system.
On the other hand, Tiefensee stated that Yildirim and he also discussed railway projects (in Turkey), noted that German companies could be included in those projects. Tiefensee added that Turkish and German authorities would keep holding talks on the area of transportation during 2007.
Yildirim is expected to return to Turkey tonight.
