BEIRUT - Lebanese Foreign Minister Fuad Siniora and Turkey's Ambassador to Lebanon Irfan Acar discussed the oil agreement signed between Lebanon and the Greek Cypriot administration in a meeting in Beirut, according to various Lebanese sources.
They noted that Siniora was briefed on the Turkish Foreign Ministry's statement regarding this agreement.
Lebanese authorities told Acar that this agreement should be passed from the Lebanese parliament, and ratified by President Emile Lahud in order to take effect.
In the meeting, Turkish and Lebanese executives decided to work together in coming days to resolve this controversy.
