Border Trade Centers To Start Serving As Of January

ANKARA - Customs Undersecretary Nevzat Saygilioglu said on Sunday that the border trade centers would start to serve with the three gates in Iranian border as of January 2004.
Saygilioglu told A.A correspondent that the establishment of border trade centers had three aims and one of them was to contribute to the development of economy of the people in the region and to create an economy.
Noting that the second aim was to make people benefit from cheap goods, Saygilioglu said that the third aim was to legalize the goods carried by passengers.
Saygilioglu said that three separate border trade centers in Sarisu, Kapikoy and Esendere would be active as of January.
The border trade centres which will firstly start to serve at the Iranian border, will later be opened on the borders with Syria, Georgia, Nahichevan.
