GAZIANTEP - Exports made from Southeast Anatolian Project (GAP) region to the European Union (EU) member countries increased 22 percent and reached 204 million 443 thousand dollars in the first 11 months of 2003.
The figure was 167 million 131 thousand dollars in the same period of last year.
Southeast Anatolia Exporters Association Secretariat General stated on Saturday that the region exported textile worth of 165 million 292 thousand dollars, dried fruit worth of 34 million 524 thousand dollars and cereals worth of three million 626 thousand dollars to EU member countries between January-November 2003.
The region made the most export to Italy and then Germany, Greece, Britain, France and Spain during this period.
