KOCAELI - "Two workers died and seven others were wounded in the explosion at Turkish Oil Refineries Corp. (Tupras) facilities in northwestern city of Izmit," Kocaeli governor`s office indicated.
Releasing a statement, the governor`s office noted that the explosion took place at around 3.55 p.m. when workers were dismantling a tetraethyl tank.
The statement said that two workers of South African origin died in the explosion, adding that five Turkish and two South African workers who were injured in the blast were hospitalized.
