-REASON IS NOT SECURITY BUT ECONOMIC

ANKARA - Israeli Embassy in Turkey said Thursday that the decision of Israel Airlines El Al to stop scheduled flights to some close destinations, including Istanbul , is not in any way related to the alleged insufficiency in security measures, but is purely based on economic policies.
"The Embassy would also like to express its full pleasure and satisfaction with the cooperation which is displayed on the part of Turkish authorities in connection with the security measures which are employed when need be," Israeli Embassy said in a written statement.
