ISTANBUL - Macedonian Airlines MAT Air started scheduled flights between Skopje and Istanbul as of Thursday.
Among the first passengers of MAT Air which landed in Istanbul`s Ataturk Airport, there were Macedonian State Minister Adnan Kagil and Turkish Ambassador in Skopje Taner Karakas.
Kagil told reporters that flights will increase economic and political cooperation between Turkey and Macedonia, adding that they aim to increase trade volume between the two countries from 120 million USD to 500 million USD. He also called on Turkish businessmen to invest in Macedonia.
MAT Air will have 3 flights in a week between Skopje and Istanbul.
