ISTANBUL - The death toll from a blast at an oil refinery in northwestern Turkey rose to three Saturday after another body was located in the wreckage of a storage tank, an official said.
Rescuers had not yet removed the body, that of a South African worker, due to the risk of poisoning, local prosecutor Musa Sacma told the Anatolia news agency.
Two other South Africans were killed in Thursday's blast which ocurred as workers were dismantling an empty storage tank at the refinery in the heavily industrialised bay of Izmit, run by Turkey's main oil refiner TUPRAS.
The explosion also injured seven other workers, two of them South Africans.
