World Bank: Government Took Important Steps In The Past 12 Months

ANKARA - World Bank Vice President Shiego Katsu said on Tuesday that the government took important steps in the past 12 months.
Speaking at a news conference following completion of his visits in Turkey, Katsu said this was his first visit to Turkey as Vice President.
Katsu said they saw the projects like health and education on the spot, supported by World Bank, and that they attended Country Economic Report Meeting.
Katsu said his meetings with high ranking officials were positive and fruitful.
Underlining that there was a broad scale cooperation with Turkey within Country Aid Strategy, Katsu said cooperation would continue within mutual solidarity.
Katsu said there were still issues that should be brought onto agenda in structural area, stating that the Bank and other international boards were ready to expend support to Turkey on practicing the structural reforms and social programs.
Katsu said they announced that aid support of World Bank would continue, stressing that, they would expend up to 4.5 billion U.S. dollars financial aid to Turkey within CAS in the coming three-years period.
