World Bank To Speed Up Usage Of Loans Given To Turkey

ANKARA - The World Bank will speed up the usage of loans which it gave to Turkey.
High-ranking officials of Treasury and State Planning Organization (DPT) told A.A correspondent on Tuesday that the bank has reached an agreement with Turkish economy officials that the project and program loans given to Turkey would be speeded up.
Delegation headed by World Bank Vice President Shigeo Katsu and Turkish economy officials decided to speed up loans for public sector, agricultural sector and some other structural program loans which the bank had earlier given to Turkey but did not let it use as required criteria were not fulfilled.
The loans, which were given in former Country Assistance Strategy (CAS) program but could not be used, will be included in new CAS and its usage will be speeded up.
