Arinc: Results Of Parliamentary Elections Revealed That Turkish Cypriot People Were Calling On Deputies To Reach A Compromise And Find A Solution

ANKARA - Parliament Speaker Bulent Arinc has said, ''results of the elections have revealed that Turkish Cypriot people were calling on deputies to reach a compromise and find a solution.''
Responding questions of journalists on Monday, Arinc said, ''the elections were held in a democratic atmosphere. Turkish Cypriot people have put forward their political preference. We should respect it.''
''Results of Sunday's parliamentary elections in TRNC are quite interesting. 50 percent of deputies take place in a block while the remaining half take place in the other. Results of the elections have revealed that Turkish Cypriot people were calling on deputies to reach a compromise and find a solution. This is my personal comment,'' he added.
