ERZURUM - Turkey-European Union (EU) Joint Parliamentary Commission member Muzaffer Gulyurt said on Monday that Europeans wanted Cyprus question to be solved.
Speaking to A.A correspondent, Gulyurt conveyed the impressions he got from the 51st Joint Parliamentary meeting held in Brussels between December 2 and 4. Gulyurt said EU member countries exhibited a positive approach regarding Turkey's accession to EU.
Gulyurt said, ''Europeans want Cyprus question to be solved. They particularly ask why Turkey's soldiers were still in Cyprus.''
Gulyurt pointed out that Turkish entrepreneurs could not necessarily benefit from EU's donations and funds, noting that Slovenia, having two million population, benefited from the funds better than Turkey.
