BISHKEK - Turkish Ambassador in Bishkek Muzaffer Eroktem said on Sunday that Turkey was ranked the third among countries which made most investment in Kyrgyzstan.
Eroktem told the A.A correspondent that Turkey's investments in Kyrgyzstan amounted to 400 million U.S. dollars, and stated that investments were made especially in banking, education, tourism and service sectors.
He said that Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University was a very big investment.
Stating that when Central Asia Turkish Republics gained their independence, Turkey was the first country which extended support of development to those countries, Eroktem recalled that Turkish Cooperation and Development Agency (TIKA) was set up for development of those countries.
Eroktem added that TIKA should put into practice more productive projects to work more effectively.
