General Staff Chief General Ozkok Sends A Message Of Condolence To President Aliyev Of Azerbaijan

BAKU - General Staff Chief General Hilmi Ozkok has sent a message to President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan upon demise of former President Haydar Aliyev, and extended his condolences.
In his message, General Ozkok said, ''besides his efforts to make Azerbaijan a powerful and prosperous country, Haydar Aliyev had also striven to further improve bilateral relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan. We will always remember him with a great respect.''
Meanwhile, former President Suleyman Demirel called President Ilham Aliyev on the phone, and expressed his profound sorrow over demise of Haydar Aliyev.
Demirel described Haydar Aliyev as a great statesman having a distinguished place in the history of world politics.
