LEFKOSA - Turgay Avci, Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), met Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) Secretary General Prof. Dr. Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu in Jeddah, Saudia Arabia, on Monday.
Sources told that executives from OIC and Islamic Solidarity Fund were also present at the meeting, where the TRNC FM informed the participants about the recent developments in Cyprus issue and called for development of bilateral relations between OIC member states and TRNC.
The parties discussed the projects presented by TRNC to the OIC affiliates, and future projects for Islamic Solidarity Fund and Islamic Development Bank were also on the agenda of the meeting.
Chairman of Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce Erdil Nami, who is in the TRNC committee in Jeddah, called for improvement of commercial relations between TRNC and OIC member states.
