STRASBOURG - Turkey`s Greek Orthodox minority have always supported the country`s European Union perspective, Fener Greek Orthodox Patriarch Bartholomew said on Monday.
"Turkey has taken important steps to reach EU standards and introduced major reforms to its domestic law," Bartholomew told in his address to members of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
"We have always supported the EU perspective of our country, Turkey," Bartholomew said, and emphasized dialogue between religions in his speech.
