CERRAH: INTERROGATION OF SEVEN SUSPECT IS UNDER WAY
ISTANBUL - "Interrogation of seven suspects is under way in connection with the killing of journalist Hrant Dink," Istanbul Police Chief Celalettin Cerrah said on Monday.
Cerrah told the A.A that the killing did not have any political motive and any illegal organization was not involved in it.
"It seems that the suspect committed the homicide as a result of his extreme nationalist feelings. It was revealed that the suspect held talks with Yasin Hayal, who was involved in the bomb attack on McDonalds in the northern city of Trabzon two years ago, prior to the killing," he said.
52-year-old Dink, editor-in-chief of the Turkish-Armenian weekly Agos, was shot dead outside his newspaper`s office in Istanbul on Friday.
