Erdogan Issues Message Upon Demise Of Haydar Aliyev

ANKARA - Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan issued a message upon demise of former President Haydar Aliyev of Azerbaijan late on Friday.
A statement of Prime Ministry Press Center said that Prime Minister Erdogan learnt demise of Aliyev with deep sorrow, and stated that powerful leader of Azerbaijani people and state exerted efforts for prosperity, well-being of Azerbaijan and peace for the region and the world during his whole life.
The statement said that Turkish people and government shared sorrow of Azerbaijani people, and stated that he would like to offer his condolences to Azerbaijani people, Turkish world and his family.
Sources said that Erdogan, who was currently in Brussels, spoke to Haydar Aliyev's son Ilham Aliyev by phone and offered his condolences to Aliyev.
