Security Forces Intercept Six Thousand Foreigners In 11 Months

EDIRNE - Provincial Directorate of Security in north-western province of Edirne has said that 6 thousand 85 foreigners were intercepted in the province in the first eleven months of 2003 as they were trying to proceed to Greece or Bulgaria illegally.
Noting that most of the foreigners were of Middle Eastern and African origin, the statement said that they were captured by border police and gendarme forces.
Security officials added that these people targeted to reach another European country via Greece or Bulgaria.
