ANKARA - Turkey invited some members of the Armenian administration and diaspora to participate in the funeral for journalist Hrant Dink, who was killed last Friday, said executives of the Turkish Foreign Ministry.
The executives noted that this invitation made upon FM Abdullah Gul's instruction was welcomed by the Armenians.
However, it is not yet definite who will represent Armenia in the funeral.
Dink, editor-in-chief of Turkish-Armenian weekly Agos, was shot dead in front of his office building in Istanbul on Friday. He will be laid to rest on Tuesday in Balikli Armenian Cemetery following a funeral in Virgin Mary Church at Kumkapi district.
Ogun Samast, the suspected killer of Turkish-Armenian editor and writer Hrant Dink, was arrested in northern city of Samsun on Saturday, and confessed that he killed Dink during the preliminary questioning.
