ANKARA - State Minister Mehmet Aydin said on Friday that relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan were perfect.
The conference on Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow of Azerbaijani-Turkish Strategic Relations was held in Ankara.
Speaking in the conference, Aydin said that it was pleasing that two countries had the will to further improve bilateral relations.
Aydin noted that it was also pleasing that two countries had similar ideals for the future.
Solution of all ''frozen'' problems in the region particularly the Upper Karabakh issue would be for the benefit of all the region and contribute to economy and politics, Aydin underlined.
Aydin expressed full belief that process of democracy would continue and tranquility of Azerbaijani people would increase during term in office of Ilham Aliyev, who became the President of Azerbaijan following his father Haydar Aliyev.
Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister Ali Hasanov said that Azerbaijan would further improve its relations with especially neighboring countries.
Energy and Natural Resources Minister Hilmi Guler said that there were two significant pipeline projects namely Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) and Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum (BTE) and noted that there would not be any delay in those projects.
Guler stated that BTC project would be concluded in 2005 and BTE in 2006 as planned.
Joint working groups between Turkey and Azerbaijan continued their activities, Guler pointed out.
Guler added that they should exert as many efforts as they could.
