Ak Party: We Are Not Supporting Or Opposing Any Political Party In T.R.N.C.

ANKARA - Justice and Development Party (AK Party) deputy leader Murat Mercan said on Friday that as AK Party, they were not supporting or opposing any political party in Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), adding that they assumed a neutral attitude towards them.
When he was reminded of some news stories claiming that some messages were sent to mobile phones of people regarding mass meeting of Peace and Democracy Movement (BDH) in TRNC this evening with the signature of AK Party, Mercan said, ''as AK Party, we are not supporting or opposing any political party in TRNC. We are acting neutrally. Thus, it is impossible for us to send such a message.'' Mercan added that they did not interfere in elections in TRNC and they would not from now on, either.
