ISTANBUL - A group of 60 Turkish businessmen, members of Whole Industrialists` and Businessmen`s Association (TUMSIAD), flew to Syria to seek business opportunities in this country.
Before their flight to Syria, chairman of the association Mehmet Yildirim said they have 700 members and that TUSIAD is a SME-oriented (small and medium sized enterprises) organization.
Reminding that a free trade agreement between Turkey and Syria entered into force, Yildirim said they want to boost Turkish exports to Syria.
Turkish businessmen are scheduled to meet Syrian ministers of transportation, economy and investment.
