Elections In T.R. Northern Cyprus On Sunday

PARTIES HOLD THEIR LAST MASS MEETINGS THIS EVENING

LEFKOSA - Political parties in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) will hold their last mass meetings on Friday evening before the elections on Sunday.
The period of making propaganda by political parties will end at 6.00 p.m. on Saturday and election prohibitions will start. These prohibitions will also be valid on Sunday when people cast their votes.
Radio and tv channels will not broadcast news stories about elections until 7.00 p.m. on Sunday.
Alcoholic beverages will not be sold and all entertainment places will be closed on Sunday.
People will start casting votes at 08.00 a.m. on Sunday and it will continue until 6.00 p.m.
Totally 141,832 electors will cast votes in 554 ballot boxes to elect 50 new deputies. In elections, seven political parties will compete with their 350 candidates.
