ANKARA - Environment and Forestry Minister Osman Pepe said on Friday that Australian government wanted to take Anzac Bay into the list of historical places.
Osman Pepe received the same day Australian Ambassador to Turkey Jonatthan Philp and discussed with him the development plan on Gelibolu Historical Peninsula National Park.
Speaking during the meeting, Pepe said that Australia attributed special importance to Gelibolu, adding that they would assess the demand of Australia.
''The government is positive about the demand, but all concerned institutions should assess the issue,'' said Pepe.
