ANKARA - A French magazine, "Paris Match", praised Turkey and its tourism potential in its December 2006 edition.
The magazine referred to remarks of Turkish Culture & Tourism Minister Atilla Koc, detailed Turkish-French relations and praised Turkish novelist Orhan Pamuk, who won Nobel Prize for literature, and his novels that were translated to 40 languages.
With the headline "Turkey: The Pearl of Strait", Paris Match pointed out that Turkish economy is ranked among the strongest 20 economies in the world.
The magazine also wrote about Turkish Airlines (THY), Formula 1 races, blue voyage, oil wrestling, Turkish textile and football, Bosphorus Bridge, Nemrut Mountain, great spiritual leader of Islam`s Sufi order Mevlana, Cappadocia region, and golf fields; and published photographs to show Turkey`s natural beauties.
In its December edition, the French magazine said that Turkey aims to host 30 million tourists in 2010.
