BRUSSELS - Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul met on Thursday with EU Commissioner for Enlargement Guenter Verheugen.
Gul is currently in Brussels for Intergovernmental Conference that will take place within EU Summit.
Sources said that Gul explained his observation and view on final declaration of the EU summit in the meeting and stated that Gul also informed Verheugen about reform studies and implementation in Turkey. Gul also explained his sensitivity and view on the final declaration's paragraph on Cyprus.
Verheugen recalled the progress Turkey had and said that there was a more positive atmosphere for Turkey in the EU.
