American Jewish Congress Praises Turkish Government

NEW YORK - American Jewish Congress (AJC), which is one of leading Jewish organizations in the United States, said on Thursday that Turkish government's attitude after terrorist attacks in Istanbul was praiseworthy.
AJC official Norman Liss told the A.A correspondent that Turkish government's attitude after terrorist attacks in Istanbul and capability of catching suspects of attacks was welcomed with praise.
Stating that as U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell said earlier, the United States and Turkey were two friendly countries and allies, Liss said that two countries were democracies which had joint interests.
Liss said that American Jewish people attributed great importance to Turkish-U.S. relations and added that American Jewish community and administrators also welcomed Turkish government's attitude toward Israel and Jewish community.
