ISTANBUL - Health Minister Recep Akdag returned on Thursday from Sudan, where he paid an official visit as guest of Sudanese Health Minister Ahmed Ballal.
Akdag told reporters that he opened ''Turkish Health Fair'' to which 40 Turkish companies joined during his visit.
Health Minister Akdag said that besides Sudanese Health Minister, he met with Minister of External Trade, Minister of Investments and Minister of External Relations and was received by Sudanese President.
In their meeting, Sudanese President instructed Sudanese authorities to facilitate bureaucracy in Sudan to increase investments of Turkish businessmen, Akdag noted.
Akdag stated that Turkish businessmen were excited about investing in that country.
He also visited health institutions in Sudan, Akdag said.
Akdag noted that he visited Turkish hospital built in Sudan in 1996 and pointed out that infrastructural and equipment needs of that hospital would be met by Turkey.
Stating that his visit was very beneficial, Akdag said that way for health investments of Turkish businessmen in Sudan was paved during his visit.
