TIRANA - Chief of General Staff Hilmi Ozkok visited Kucove military airport in Albania on Wednesday.
Ozkok said that the airport construction project which was undertaken by Turkey continued as it was planned.
Turkish Armed Forces would continue its assistance to Albanian armed forces, Ozkok noted.
Kucove military airport is being renovated under an agreement signed between Turkey and Albania in November 2001. The renovation is expected to end in 2005.
Commando center was renovated last year under the five-stage agreement. New terminal and two runways were built as a part of the second stage initiated in May 2003.
Turkey has spent 2.5 million U.S. dollars for the project so far.
