ANKARA - Newsstands in Turkey`s major cities will start to sell Tuesday a new English daily, "Today`s Zaman," an undertaking of Turkish media group which also publishes Turkish daily, Zaman.
The newspaper will be Turkey`s third English daily after The Turkish Daily News and the New Anatolian.
The daily would be "your way of understanding Turkey," Bulent Kenes, editor-in-chief, said.
"The existence of multiple voices in the media world is of crucial importance for a transparent and a democratic society," Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan told the daily`s reception. "In this regard, I particularly appreciate Today`s Zaman."
Among others, the newspaper will feature British journalist Andrew Finkel and American journalists Hugh Pope, Nicole Pope, Suzanne Swan, Pat Yale.
