ANKARA - Based on the average calculated for the term September through November last year, Turkish employment rate has been 9.3 percent, said the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). Unemployment rate in the same period was recorded as 10.1 percent in 2005.
According to the "Household Working Force Report" released by TUIK the labor force participation rate was 48.4 in the three month period.
The report recorded unemployment rate as 11.3 percent in cities and 6.4 in rural areas.
