ISTANBUL - Iraqi Vice President Tariq al-Hashimi left Turkey for Britain on Sunday.
Turkish PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan met al-Hashimi in Istanbul yesterday, and the two officials had a working dinner.
Erdogan and al-Hashimi exchanged views over the United States` new plan for Iraq at their meeting.
Issues such as efforts to provide security and stability in Iraq, and Turkey`s likely contributions to protection of Iraq`s territorial integrity and political unity were high on agenda of the meeting.
During the meeting, the Turkish party reiterated its views about the Kirkuk issue, and expressed its concerns about activities of the terrorist organization PKK in Iraq.
