ISTANBUL - Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Iraqi Vice President Tariq al-Hashimi exchanged views over the United States` new plan for Iraq at their meeting in Istanbul on Saturday.
Issues such as efforts to provide security and stability in Iraq, and Turkey`s likely contributions to protection of Iraq`s territorial integrity and political unity were high on agenda of the meeting.
Erdogan and al-Hashimi also exchanged views over the United States` new plan for Iraq.
During the meeting, the Turkish party reiterated its views about the Kirkuk issue, and expressed its concerns about activities of the terrorist organization PKK in Iraq.
