ANKARA - Turkey's Secretariat General for the EU and Foreign Ministry officials on Wednesday give briefing to Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan prior to ''EU Heads of State and Government Summit and Intergovernmental Conference'' that will take place between December 12 and 13 in Brussels.
Turkey's Secretary General for the EU Murat Sungar, Foreign Ministry Deputy Undersecretary Volkan Bozkir and related officials participated in the EU briefing that lasted for nearly three hours.
EU Heads of State and Government Summit this time will take place with the participation of only the member countries and countries which will join the union next year. Turkey, Bulgaria, and Romania will participate in Intergovernmental Conference which will take place at the same time.
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan will represent Turkey at the Intergovernmental Conference. Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul will accompany Erdogan during the visit.
Erdogan and Gul will leave for Brussels on Thursday.
